The Lotus Make-Up India Trend Week 2019, which kick-started on March 13 on the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi, is underway and lots of designers together with Rahul Mishra, Samant Chauhan, Rina Dhaka, and Shalini James introduced their collections.
On the second day, designer Sanjukta Dutta showcased her new assortment “Morom”, which implies ‘love’ in Assamese. Impressed by butterflies and flowers, it encapsulated the essence of Assam.
Dutta introduced a mix of ethnic and Indo- western sensibilities which included a variety of jumpsuits, mekhla chador, crop tops and skirts. The first colors in her assortment have been white, black and beige and was marked by floral motifs.
Actor Karisma Kapoor walked the ramp for the designer and regarded beautiful in a black mekhla chador with embroidered border in white, crimson and gold. Teamed with an identical shirt, we actually preferred how her look was rounded out with hair tied neatly in a bun, pink lipstick and beautiful golden earrings.
Dutta’s designs inform a narrative, and the wealthy Indian heritage function an excellent supply of inspiration. The designer effortlessly merges custom with the trendy, and the result’s telling of impeccable craftsmanship and complicated magnificence.
