Tata Harrier is the first SUV model going to be launched by Tata Motors on January 2019 as dated. The model seems to be competing against Hyundai Creta. The model is built completely on the Omega platform which is derived from the JLR versatile D8 architecture. Also it is based on Architecture Modular Platform (AMP). It is a seven seater car. The booking for the car is going to start from 7 December 2018. The expected price of the model is Rs 16 to 21 lakh in approx. Tata Harrier is available in four variants:XE, XM, XT and XZ.
Tata Harrier is said to be fit for travelling in tourism purpose. The car is suitable smoothly on the roads of rural as well as urban areas. The engine of Tata Harrier is built as Kryotec 2.0 which is provided with an electric variable geometry turbocharger (eVGT) to produce 140 bhp in the five-seater harrier while built to produce 170 bhp in the seven-seater version. The engine is also provided with four 2.0-litre cylinder diesel engine adopted from Cryogenic rocket engine which is is built on the low friction valve train architecture. The engine can produce max power of 140PS and torque of 350Nm. The engine will power up the fronts through six speed manual gearbox.
The infotainment system of Tata Harrier consists of 8.8-inch floating touchscreen and 7-inch colour MID. 4-cylinder diesel engine of 2.0 litres with electric turbocharger. The model LED projector headlamps. It consists of cooled storage compartment under the front armrest and also provided with smartphone slots for passengers sitting at the back seat. The power of the five seater is 140 bhp and the power of the seven seater will be 170 bhp. It consists of dual airbags at the front along with ABS with EBD.
